What time of the day should I test?
The best time to test is around noon time (12 noon) or later due to the fact that LH is synthesized in morning which makes it more likely to show up in afternoon urine. For best results you can fix up a time around 12 noon by collecting urine at the same time each day. You may repeat the process at the same time on subsequent days!
How do we interpret the result?
A strip showing positive result means the the hormone Luteinizing Hormone (LH) has been released indicating that you are going to ovulate within next 24-48 hours. A negative result on the strip means that the LH hormone has not been detected, thus you should continue daily testing. It is not typical of every woman to ovulate mid-cycle, thus you may not observe a positive result in the initial five days of testing. Once you get a positive result, mostly you ovulate within 24-48 hours of the result. To maximize your chances of pregnancy, you may plan intercourse on the same day when LH is released and successive three days after it.
